How does a Clue Quest level work?
First solve the rhyming riddle. After answering correctly, you will see a clear reference picture of the object. Then search the illustrated scene and tap the matching hidden object or objects.
How do the timer, lives and mistakes work?
Each complete level has a three-minute clock that counts upwards. A wrong riddle answer or incorrect tap adds five seconds. Each stage begins with three lives. If the clock reaches three minutes, you lose one life and can retry the level.
How do hints work?
A new game begins with five hints. Tap the Hint button on a riddle screen to reveal extra help. Using a new hint removes one from your remaining total.
What is included for free?
World One is free and includes 20 riddles and 20 hidden-object searches across four themed stages. There are no adverts.
What does the World Two purchase include?
World Two is an optional one-time purchase containing another 20 riddles and 20 hidden-object searches across four underwater stages. It is not a subscription.
I purchased World Two but it is still locked. What should I do?
- Check that your device is connected to the internet.
- Confirm that the device is signed in to the Apple Account used for the original purchase.
- Open the World Two purchase screen and tap Restore Purchases.
- Close and reopen Clue Quest if the entitlement does not update immediately.
If it remains locked, contact support using the email below. Never send payment-card details or your Apple Account password.
Will I be charged again when I restore World Two?
No. Restore Purchases checks the Apple Account's existing entitlement. It does not make a new purchase.
How do I turn off sounds or vibrations?
Open Settings from the Clue Quest home screen. You can independently switch off Sound Effects and Haptic Feedback.
Why is the game displayed sideways?
Clue Quest is designed for landscape play. Rotate your iPhone or iPad so the longest edges are at the top and bottom.
What devices are supported?
Clue Quest requires an iPhone or iPad running iOS or iPadOS 17 or newer.
Does Clue Quest collect personal information?
No. Clue Quest has no accounts, adverts, analytics or tracking. Read the Privacy Policy for complete details.
